My new blog is being used now!!! Check it out at www.journey2spainbilbao.weebly.com
I've decided to make a second blog for bilbao instead of having both Alicante and Bilbao on the same site. Here's the link to my new blog. Right now I dont have anything on it but when I leave ill start updating it :) www.journey2spainbilbao.weeby.com I'm home!!! It's been so long and ive missed being home. Spain was so wonderful and it taught me so many new things about the culture, especially about personal space. I know my spanish has improved and I cant wait to continue growing in my spanish and cant wait to be back in spain! Next trip Bilbao!!!! It's the last day here in Alicante. During some free time I finally went and visited the Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Alicante (MACA). You arent allowed to take photos but I must say the art was quite interesting. They have a small pencil drawing done by Picasso at the musuem. Plus they have a floor dedicated to an Alicante artist Eusebio Sempere. His stuff was pretty cool. There were quite a few sculptures and he does absracts. I'm glad I made it there after 5 weeks. Also on my way back home from the MACA I saw two just wed couples come out of two different churches just down the road from each other and I got to watch them get pelted with rice :) I enjoyed that! Lol! Tonight once again I will be headed to the castle with other people in my group to watch our final Spanish sunset for the trip. Unbelievable how time flies!!! Last night our group had our final event. We took a bus to the countryside of Alicante to a beautiful vineyard. There, we took a small tour and learned the process of making wine. After the tour we had dinner at the vineyard and got to try three different kinda of wine. It was a great night! I can't believe its almost time to leave. With 6 days im trying to see everything one more time. So tonight I went to the castle again to watch the sunset and got some amazing pics. I made a short time lapse video with the pics but its in my computer so I wont be able to upload that till I get home. Its not the best quality cause i took it from my iphone and didnt have the ability to hold the camera perfectly to take the pics. There is this festival that happens every june from the 20th to the 24th where they make these huge paper creations and then on the last day the burn them all. But every year one is saved and they have them at a musuem. It was really cool to see them and knowing they are made out of paper made it even more spectacular!!! One of my favorite things happened today... We went to the chocolate factory in La Vila Joyosa! It smelled amazing and the chocolate tasted delicious! Sadly the machines werent running but we couldnt take pictures inside the factory anyway. The company is called Valor Chocolates. The factory we went to is the only one in Spain. |
